The road to espresso mastery isn't meant to be walked alone. Navigating this complex coffee beverage is as much an art form as it is a technical endeavor, and we'd be honored to help you learn the way. Our Espresso 101 Class is designed to provide an introduction to espresso and techniques used to pull the perfect shot. 

More specifically we plan to cover:
1. Espresso Basics
2. Espresso Tasting — common flavor profiles and how to discern them
3. Espresso Making Basics — review of the espresso machine, technical steps to pulling an espresso shot (dosing, weighing, tamping, etc.) and a review of the variables affecting extraction/taste.

Hands-on practice pulling shots from a La Marzocco machine as well as a Q&A will follow. The class will be led by Stephanie Sharp, a coffee professional and barista with 7 years in the coffee industry.

Registration fee includes a 3-hour class, 12 oz. bag of coffee and a $10 Assembly gift card. 
Deadline to register is July 25, 2017. Maximum 6 students allowed, so register early!

*Note: Cancellations made after July 26, 2017 will be subject to a 50% fee ($32.50).
